Creating an account

You don’t have to create an account but if you’d like us to save everything securely for you then it’s recommended.

  1. Step 1.
    Tap start and select a colour for the app
  2. Step 2.
    Go to settings and select create an account. Enter a valid email address, enter the same password twice and tap on Register.
  3. Step 3.
    An email with a confirmation code has been sent to your given email address. Enter this code and you can log in straight away.
  4. Step 4.
    You’re all done with registering and can now start adding contracts. These will all be saved securely for you.

Adding contracts

To create your own overview of your household bills, you can add lots of different contracts, which are found in the overview of your vault. We’ll show you how below.

  1. Step 1.
    Go into your vault and tap on the plus icon
  2. Step 2.
    Choose the main and subcategories in which your contract belongs and tap Next. It is also possible to add a combined package, such as Home Insurance & Travel Insurance.
  3. Step 3.
    You have the option to select your costs (per month) and an end date so your costs become visible on your dashboard and we can send you useful reminders.
  4. Step 4.
    Choose a vault to which you’d like to add the contract and tap on Add. The contract is now saved in the vault.

Adding extra information to a contract

You can add extra information to your contracts, such as a photo of your contract, or a PDF file. It’s also possible to add additional price information and other comments/included bonuses, such as a complementary WiFi booster. A little reminder for yourself.

  1. Step 1.
    Go into your vault and tap on the package to which you’d like to add more information.
  2. Step 2.
    By tapping on the plus sign you can add a document; taking a photo or selecting a pre-existing one from your gallery. You can add a PDF file from your email by using the share feature on your mobile and selecting Bencompare. Besides you can choose from documents of your library.
  3. Step 3.
    With regard to your contract it’s also possible to add more documents, such as the general terms & conditions.
  4. Step 4.
    Then fill out the start date and notice period. This way we can accurately let you know when your contract is running out.
  5. Step 5.
    Under ‘Expenses', enter the price of your contract if you haven't done yet. You can also mark your discounts here.

Comparing

If your contract is about to run out, it’s possible to start looking for other potentially better offers.

  1. Step 1.
    In your overview, tap on the notification of the contract which is about to run out.
  2. Step 2.
    Now tap on the Compare tab and choose a comparison site for the category into which your contract falls.
  3. Step 3.
    Tap on a comparison portal, in which you’d like to compare your contract. You’ll be redirected to their website.
  4. Step 4.
    In this portal you can compare and decide on a new contract.
